Paint the Town Purple------ Relay for Life of Warren County would like to invite businesses, schools and churches to display their purple to join in our fight against cancer. Purple is the color representing ALL cancers. The campaign will run from May 8-28th. Pictures of those participating will be posted and voted on via our facebook page relay for Life of Warren County Pa. Building a Brighter Community with Chautauqua Bright Spots will be held on Thursday, May 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the YWCA Auditorium, Jamestown, NY. This educational event for community members and existing Chautauqua Bright Spots will allow for further connections with local mental health, suicide prevention, and substance abuse help resources to foster hope & healing in Chautauqua County.

safeTALK (Suicide Alertness For Everyone) Tuesday, May 30 2:00–5:00 p.m. at CASAC, 501 West Third St., Jamestown, NYA training that prepares anyone over the age of 15 to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources.
Sacred Heart Parish is having a wine tasting on Saturday, June 3, from 5:30 to 8:30 in the evening. Tickets are $20 per person or $35 per couple and can be purchased at the parish office on Fairmount Avenue in Lakewood next to Walmart. In addition to learning about and sampling hand-crafted wines from Eagle Crest Vineyards, ticket holders will be treated to a variety of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres throughout the evening. All members of the public, age 21 and older, are invited to attend but seating is limited, so please purchase your tickets early.

Infinity Visual and Performing Arts, Inc. is inviting local bands and musicians to participate in their 14th Annual Local Music Showcase. Local Music Showcase is an annual event that raises funds to support youth music and arts instruction at the Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center. The fundraiser, which is held throughout Downtown Jamestown, will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2017. Nearly 50 local bands and musicians donate their time each year to help Infinity. More than a dozen local venues will donate their space for the cause! Online registration for interested bands or musicians is available at www.infinityperformingarts.org Forms must be received no later than July 1, 2017 in order to be considered for this year’s schedule. No late submissions will be accepted.
