Paint the Town Purple------ Relay for Life of Warren County would like to invite businesses, schools and churches to display their purple to join in our fight against cancer. Purple is the color representing ALL cancers. The campaign will run from May 8-28th. Pictures of those participating will be posted and voted on via our facebook page relay for Life of Warren County Pa. Building a Brighter Community with Chautauqua Bright Spots will be held on Thursday, May 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the YWCA Auditorium, Jamestown, NY. This educational event for community members and existing Chautauqua Bright Spots will allow for further connections with local mental health, suicide prevention, and substance abuse help resources to foster hope & healing in Chautauqua County.

safeTALK (Suicide Alertness For Everyone) Tuesday, May 30 2:00–5:00 p.m. at CASAC, 501 West Third St., Jamestown, NYA training that prepares anyone over the age of 15 to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources. 


Sacred Heart Parish is having a wine tasting on Saturday, June 3, from 5:30 to 8:30 in the evening.  Tickets are $20 per person or $35 per couple and can be purchased at the parish office on Fairmount Avenue in Lakewood next to Walmart.  In addition to learning about and sampling hand-crafted wines from Eagle Crest Vineyards, ticket holders will be treated to a variety of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres throughout the evening.  All members of the public, age 21 and older, are invited to attend but seating is limited, so please purchase your tickets early.


The Viking Mixed Chorus Annual Spring Concert is Sunday, June 4th at 3pm.  Enjoy an afternoon of Sacred/Secular Swedish/English and all around fun loving music at First Lutheran Church, 120 Chandler Street in Jamestown.  8 dollars adults, kids under 12 free.  Admission includes refreshments afterward.

The Chautauqua Lake Rowing Association Rock N' Row Fundraiser is Sunday June 11th from 4 to 7pm at the Lawson Center for Boating Heritage, 73 Lakeside Drive in Bemus Point.   Food, Drink, Bands, Raffles and more!  Tickets 40.00 per person.  Tickets and information available at WWW.Rowchautauqua.org


Infinity Visual and Performing Arts, Inc. is inviting local bands and musicians to participate in their 14th Annual Local Music Showcase. Local Music Showcase is an annual event that raises funds to support youth music and arts instruction at the Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center. The fundraiser, which is held throughout Downtown Jamestown, will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2017. Nearly 50 local bands and musicians donate their time each year to help Infinity. More than a dozen local venues will donate their space for the cause! Online registration for interested bands or musicians is available at www.infinityperformingarts.org Forms must be received no later than July 1, 2017 in order to be considered for this year’s schedule. No late submissions will be accepted.

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU) Solid Waste Division reminds customers to dispose of “sharps” in a safe manner for the public and for BPU Solid Waste employees. Sharps may be disposed of safely in puncture resistant, leak-proof materials such as plastic milk or soda bottles.

The Chautauqua Adult Day Care Centers, Inc., a not for profit United Way Agency is proud to announce that its Latino Outreach Program will now offer services county-wide!
